Goods and Services Tax (GST) Forum
Affin Investment Bank organised a GST forum titled “Goods and Services Tax (GST) for Malaysia” on 10th February 2010 at the Royale Chulan Hotel, pertaining to the proposed GST Model to be adopted by the Government of Malaysia. Y Bhg Dato’ Kamariah binti Hussain, Chairman of the Tax Review Panel (TRP), Ministry of Finance, YBhg Dato’ Zaleha binti Hamzah, Advisor to the Customs, and Mr. Wan Leng Fatt, Deputy Director of Customs, shared their views and insights on the proposed GST model as well as provided information on the treatment of GST on specific sectors and industries, which will have implications on the Malaysian economy. |
