Affin Investment Bank Berhad (Affin Investment) is part of the larger Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) Group, the Armed Forces Provident Fund. LTAT's interest in Affin Investment is held through equity stakes in Affin Holdings Berhad (Affin Holdings) and Boustead Holdings Berhad (Boustead). Both Affin Holdings and Boustead Holdings are publicly listed conglomerates.

LTAT

LTAT was established in 1972 by an Act of Parliament. As the Armed Forces provident fund, its main objectives are providing retirement and other benefits to its members and promoting socio-economic development in providing welfare benefits for the retiring and retired personnel of the Armed Forces. As at 31 December 2004, LTAT's Group total assets stood at RM39.7 billion with key investments in quoted and unquoted securities and money market instruments. LTAT has diversified and significant interests in property development, financial services, manufacturing, plantations and trading.

AFFIN HOLDINGS

As a financial conglomerate, Affin Holdings through its subsidiaries and associated companies is involved in the provision of commercial banking, merchant banking, stockbroking, insurance, fund management, moneybroking and other related financial services. As at 31 December 2005, Affin Holdings group total assets stood at RM31.2 billion.

BOUSTEAD HOLDINGS

Through more than 80 subsidiaries and associate companies Boustead has diversified and substantial interests in plantation, financial services, property, manufacturing, trading and services and most recently, petroleum following its acquisition of a 70% stake in BP Malaysia Sdn Bhd. As at 31 December 2005, Boustead's group total assets stood at RM5.2 billion.
