KUALA LUMPUR, January 17 2008 – Affin Investment Bank Berhad (“Affin Investment”) is the Principal Adviser and Lead Arranger in respect of RM752,236,660 Proposed Sukuk Mudharabah (“Proposed Sukuk Mudharabah”) to be issued by Manfaat Tetap Sdn Bhd (“Manfaat Tetap”). Manfaat Tetap is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sistem Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Kajang Sdn Bhd ("SILK") and represents a special purpose vehicle company in SILK's refinancing of its existing RM2.01 billion Al-Bai Bithaman Ajil Islamic Debt Securities (“BaIDS”). SILK, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunway Infrastructure Berhad (“SunInfra”), was granted by the Government the concession to design, construct, manage, operate and maintain the KAJANG SILK Highway for a period of thirty-six (36) years.

KUALA LUMPUR, January 15 2008 – Pendidikan Industri YS Sdn Bhd (PIYS) has appointed Affin Investment Bank Berhad (“Affin Investment”) as the Principal Adviser, Lead Arranger and Primary Subscriber for its issuance of Bai' Bithaman Ajil Islamic Debt Securities (BaIDS) at nominal value of up to RM150.0 million. PIYS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Menteri Besar Selangor Inc to provide educational services via Universiti Industri Selangor (“UNISEL”) , the first state funded private university in Malaysia with the aim to provide world-class education within the realms of industrial technology, management, information technology, biotechnology and medical science .
